Since 2018 the North Carolina the Conference of District Attorneys has received grant funding from the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention to implement and establish the Juvenile Justice Program. This program aims to support prosecutors, law enforcement officers, and other professionals in North Carolina who handle cases involving juveniles, especially after the state raised the age of juvenile court jurisdiction in December 2019. The NC Conference of District Attorneys uses this program to identify and research emerging issues in juvenile law, ensuring that their support and educational resources are current with the most recent information available.

The Juvenile Justice Program provides legal research, publishes articles, and offers training for prosecutors, law enforcement officers, and others involved in juvenile justice. Through this program, the NC Conference of District Attorneys assists prosecutors in court by responding to assistance requests with relevant statutes, case law, and drafting motions and memoranda. Additionally, the Juvenile Justice Program prosecutes juvenile cases with complex issues, like transferring cases to criminal superior court, in districts throughout North Carolina.

The Juvenile Justice Program is comprised of two juvenile court resource prosecutors and administrative professionals who are dedicated to the prosecution of offenses in juvenile court.
